A superb 1987 Austin Metro 1. 0 Mayfair. Having covered a genuine 11, 129 miles since new, this incredible little car looks and drives fantastic.
This ultra low mileage example is in a remarkable condition throughout and must be one of the very best that still exist. The underside is lovely and clean and shows no sign of previous welding repairs or corrosion and the engine bay presents very very close to new. The interior is immaculate and in superb order throughout and being the Mayfair model, it benefits from such refinements as central locking, twin remotely operated door mirrors, footwell lighting, four speaker stereo system, overhead console with digital clock, Mayfair decals plus side mouldings with chrome inserts ( some of which are showing slight delamination of the chrome finish but nothing which detracts from the overall appearance ), chrome exterior door handles etc...
It runs and drives superbly and its genuine low mileage and cherished upkeep are very evident. It has very recently been fitted with reconditioned suspension displacer units by Hydragas and Hydrolastic Service LTD at a cost of nearly £500.
