For sale is my Datsun 1000 B20 pick up.
Anyone who knows their Datsun’s/ JDM cars will know how far and few these are in the world, especially complete. This is a 1969 car and based off the Datsun 1000 models and the popular 1200 pick ups followed this model.
I have owned this car since 2018 and bought it when I was living in South Africa. It’s a solid and garaged car and which is fully registered in the UK and it has been in use for years during my ownership. In SA it was also used and cared for by the previous owner who used it for his handyman business. My last big big trip with this car was a 700 mile road trip when I drove the car from Pretoria to Durban to ship it home. A very capable car when cared for.
I recently had work carried out on the gearbox and also the brakes (nos wheel cylinders and new brake master cylinder and now working hand brake) for a sum of £2000+ (receipted). The car started and drove 4 weeks ago when it came back from the shop but I cannot get it to start- it is an electrical issue.
I won't be able to sort the electrical issue before the sale and really offering this up because I don't have the time to fix it plus I am getting rid of a few cars. Low price to match the electrical puzzle. As a 1969 car the puzzle won't be complicated at all for anyone who has time and ability/ willingness to try.
The car is free of terminal rust and it is a very solid car. A few years ago I sourced custom made front floors from Australia to replace the rotten ones. They had got rotten (over the 60 years) due to water ingress which didn’t have a way out.
I stripped the carpets and took the door cards out. All of this is included and interior also included but maybe you'd want to upgrade. The car is complete.
My plans for the car where a repaint, Maddot Front Disk Conversion, lowering blocks and an MX5 swap but I live a few hours from this car so can't work on it so if I can find a buyer then it will go, reluctantly.
A great little Japanese car with lots and lots of potential and the photos don’t do it justice. It really needs a clean but again no time due to distance. The photo in the workshop is the car somewhat clean.
When I was working in Japan in Jan 2020 I picked up various Brand New parts from BProjects, not because they were required but it was easier to source in Japan. These are not included in the price but can be bought separately.

I know lockdown restrictions have eased but I will only allow one person to view the car and I will insist on you wearing a mask and socially distancing at all times. Car is priced to sell as a project with consideration of the electrical issue. No offers please and no time wasters as viewing will involve 2 hours travel each way for me.
