An interesting history, one of only around 170 998 Matrix motorcycles manufactured this bike was sold new to a Mr. Reid in Windam Maine USA. The base price was $15985 with accessories totaling an impressive $3069, after sales tax this was in 2004 a $20k motorcycle.
The accessories include a full race exhaust system and some rather swish gold levers and a rather confusing silver windscreen, there may be other accessories that are nonstandard but I’m not that familiar with a standard 998 to know exactly what’s what. What I do know is that this bike is immaculate. . It’s a true race bike with over 120 BHP, its capable of speeds in excess of double the speed limit and is of course very very cool. The colour is very special in fact I believe it’s the only green motorcycle Ducati have ever produced (a few Green Frames excepted) and matched with some very cool grey wheels it’s actually by Ducati standards quite reserved in appearance. The lines are directly descended from the 916 which was a quantum leap in bike design when it appeared in 1994. The motorcycle was fully serviced in late May 2021 and will be supplied with a fresh MOT. We have applied to the DVLA for UK registration, which we expect to be sorted before the next millennium ... Bike comes complete with movie standee to really irritate your other half.
