Almost immediately from new, this one was sent to Ashcroft Transmissions to be converted to Automatic Transmission, which makes it a doddle to drive!
Standard XS station wagon factory spec includes Air Conditioning, cold climate pack including heated seats and screen, half leather trim, fully trimmed interior, ABS and traction control, electric windows, remote alarmed central locking with immobiliser, full length sidesteps, boost alloys (shod with a matching set of 5 General Grabber tyres) centre cubby box, bulkhead removal bar, and half-leather forward-facing folding seats in the carpeted load area.
This one was also supplied new with chequerplate kit, snorkel, the sought after soft front A bar with auxiliary lights, and mudflaps all round. It’s further fitted with steering guard, light guards front and rear, dark tinted rear windows, NAS rear step with integrated towpack, security bonnet hinges, and tailgate ram.
Internally the fun continues with Alcantara inserts on the dash and front seats, removable sports steering wheel, Ashcroft 50th-style centre console, and a high-end Alpine stereo system incorporating sat nav and reversing camera, and Parrot Bluetooth.
Mechanically it’s been uprated with JE Engineering’s Stage One tune, and upgraded exhaust and intercooler.
It’s only had 2 private owners from new, with the last owner having had it since 2013, and the low mileage of just 59500m is supported by a very large history file including service and repair bills, old MOT’s, and original purchase invoice etc. All the correspondence with Ashcroft as to the automatic conversion is present. It’s always been serviced by either main dealers or specialists, and the last service was carried out at 56063m
