The Volkswagen Type 31 was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1961 in three models Sedan, Notchback and Fastback, also a Square-back in the US.
The car run from 1963 to 1973 with 2, 542, 382 units sold world-wide.
The launch model had a 1500cc and was the first car to have the Bosch electronic fuel injection. Later the 1600cc engine was fitted.
This car was built in the Wolfsburg factory in Germany and was first delivered new 10 October 1969 to Worms in Germany.
The car was part of a large Spanish private collection from 1981 until 2014 when it bought shipped to the UK where it was re-commissioned and UK registered,
The car is in very original condition except the Bosch injection system has been removed and twin carburettors fitted. The car runs really well, there is no visual rust or corrosion.
Great project car or just a fine drivers car. Low mileage with just 81, 000 kms on the clock.
