Built on 23- 29th December 1960 WCE 132 is an original home market right hand drive car with its original registration mark in its original colours of Healey Blue with matching Navy Blue interior .
This car has a fantastic rally history having driven first from London to Moscow in 1993 and then three years later (1996) from London to Beijing. On both adventures being feature to a high profile charity campaign organised and sponsored by Cadbury’s to raise money for ‘Children in Crisis’ which supports victims of the Chernobyl disaster. The car had a heavy feature in the press most notably in TopGear magazine of October 1996.
Since the London to Moscow 1993 and London to Beijing 1996 rallies in 2012 the car received a full body off, engine out respray in to remove the stone chips from the gruelling trails (thankfully the underside was protected by massive aluminium plates, now removed). The car has covered a little under 6, 000 miles since and remains in good condition.
Mechanically the car is very up together with just 15, 000 miles since Cadburys international footed a £25, 000 bill for a high end engine rebuild and preparation.
As an original UK car WCE 132 is supplied with its original buff log book plus continuation book plus a British Motor Heritage Certificate, service history, MOTs, maintenance diary, photographic documentation of restoration, traceability of ownership from new, original 3000 MkI handbook as well as photos and documentation of 1993 and 1996 trips, underbody protection as used on rallies plus a spares collection.
