Description
This 1959 Triumph TR3A has been stored for decades in a barn in Ohio, USA. The car sat next to a 1960 TR3A, that we recently sold to a French enthusiast and is currently undergoing a nut and bolt restoration.
This particular TR3A has rust damage in the areas where it is to be expected: floors, inner and outer fenders, lower front fenders and some smaller holes in the boot floor and spare wheel floor (which can be patched).
The chassis looks structurally solid, with obvious surface rust. Expect a small amount of work after bead blasting.
Body, commission (chassis) and gearbox numbers appear to be matching. The engine is a CT unit (2138 cc) from a Triumph TR4. This engine turns by hand. The car looks to be mostly complete; please check the pictures on our website for all items that are included with the sale.
A good canvas for a body off restoration, this Triumph TR3A has lots of potential.
Price: € 6. 900
The TR3A comes with EU import documents (duties paid) and a British Motor Museum heritage certificate. Door-to-door delivery possible, contact us for a shipping quote.
Visits and inspections by appointment at Dandy Classics in the Netherlands.
