1996 Volkswagen Beetle 1600i (Mexican Production)
Volkswagen continued production of the original air-cooled Beetle in Mexico until 2004. Germany ceased production of the Beetle in 1978, where more than 16. 2 million examples were built, Mexico continued production for another 39 years, where almost 1. 7 million further examples were made, this making Beetle the longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single platform ever made.
This example is a 1996-year model, having the exterior mouldings, door handles etc finished in matt black from the factory and paintwork finished in pearl Green metallic.
Factory fitted with a 1600cc fuel injected air-cooled VW engine, P848XHT is offered with a good service record and has covered 96, 877KMS from new, roughly 60, 200 miles.
