We are very pleased to offer a wonderful slice of Mini Cooper history, the super rare Cooper 35 anniversary edition. Only 200 of these cars were made for the UK market and this is one of them. This is the Mini I pined for during my youth and never got to own as they all sold out immediately. Finished in Almond green with a white roof, 35 decals on the flanks, four spotlights and Anthracite Minilite wheels with new wider profile Yokohama tyres. It has only covered 66k in 25 years with two previous owners and is accompanied with its original handbooks, service book and a raft of service receipts. It also has a private number plate that that does stay with the Mini.
On the road this Cooper is a joy to drive. The 1275 engine is super smooth and is mated to a precise gearbox. Performance is brisk and it revs freely through the rev range and it will certainly make you smile. Wider tyres mean the handling is pin sharp and exactly as a Cooper should be. This a fuel injected Mini so all you need to do is turn the key and go, further features include servo operated disc brakes, an alarm and immobiliser and rear seat belts.
Cooper 35 Minis have a fantastic interior and it really sets them apart from other Minis of the era. Porcelain green embossed leather seats, matching steering wheel and optional extra Burr Walnut door caps and a matching centre console. It also features a Burr walnut dash with three Magnolia dials including a rev counter and an analogue clock. It also features a period Sony cassette player.
This Cooper has a gleaming paintwork and a solid shell with vented sills. This is an unrestored example with all of its correct original features that has been well maintained and cared for. We have fully serviced it with many new parts and it has a long no advisory MOT and is ready to go, it offers its lucky new owner the chance to join an exclusive club limited to just 200 examples.
