1967 DAIMLER 250 V8 RESTORATION
We have here for sale a beautiful Daimler 250 v8 saloon. These cars are superb value for money compared to a mk2 Jaguar and actually drive far superior in my opinion ! It has power steering also which is a must have on these as they are very heavy without it!
This particular car if finished in white over a bordeaux red interior, the paintwork on the car is now old and crazed in many areas, the door shuts and gaps are all very good as a whole save for one of the rear doors that doesn’t sit quite flush on the bottom edge. The is not very much rust on the car at all (I noticed a few minor scabs on the offside rear wing and some light surface where the paint has chipped off but nothing rotten that will require sills, door bottoms etc. In my opinion the car has had a new front end welded in at some point in the past which is very reassuring. It also has a full stainless steel exhaust, coombes arches and wire wheels so a very desirable specification overall.
It represents a great opportunity to purchase an extremely sensibly priced running, driving Daimler that can be improved as you go along and ultimately add value for the price of a usual full restoration project.
It has an excellent interior trim with all the carpets, wood veneers and headlining in super condition. I would advise recovering the rearmost trim above the windscreen (a £50 job) aswell as reconollising the leather and you will have a vehicle with wonderful patina throughout.

It runs and drives but please be aware this is a project so will recommend various welding and further works before being road legal .
