This rather nice Land Rover Series 2 (not the more common Series 2a) has had only one owner from new!
Chassis number the details below would have built in Approx November 1959 and registered on 18th January 1960.
Sold by WJ Holloway and Sons Ltd who had dealerships in Hereford and Worcester and registered as VCJ 451 which it still wears to this day. Its only owner lived near Hereford and sadly passed away and VCJ has been stored since awaiting restoration.
Tax and MOT exempt
Up to date V5 here and ready to go in new owners name.
The body work is generally very straight and I think has a wonderful patina which I would keep as is.
The chassis was clearly oiled on a regular basis and is very sound. It has been plated on the rear crossmember but is solid
The bulkhead will need the usual door pillars and footwells but is original.
The engine was running recently and is the correct early type engine and even has its original swan neck exhaust.
This will make a superb project over winter and be excellent for kids/ dogs/ logging etc.
