Reluctantly selling my Volvo 940 estate as moving to the states. Remarkable condition both inside and out considering milage (194, 500) and age. Owned and used this car as my daily for 18 months and loved every second, it's a great runner thanks to its famous Volvo red block engine. It is a 4 speed automatic. MOT is due middle of May 2022. These celebrations don't come up very often, it has loads of extras like 15 celebration alloys, electric windows front and rear, front heated seats, heated mirrors and rear window, half leather interior, air conditioning, body coloured bumpers, black roof rails and tinted windows. Got loads of receipts and service stamps in the book for the car. Recently changed the rotor arm distributor cap but other than that not had any problems.
The back seats fold flat and the boot space becomes absolutely cavernous. I have taken this car all around the country surfing and sleeping in the back. They don't make them like this anymore.
Few things to note. One of the hoses (as seen in photo) has perished or has a dodgy seal so there is a small coolant leak there. The car works fine with this however if the engine is worked hard for long periods the coolant will need topping up. Changing the hose would be a simple fix. Also the fuel guage has just started having an intermittent problem where it occasionally just reads zero. After driving a bit it makes it way back to the correct point on the scale. This has only just started happening. Also the body work is in great condition in general however I have pictured a scratch on the rear side that has been there since I bought it. The clock and interior light do work however need a new fuse I haven't had a chance to get one.
Will be sad to see this car go. An appreciating classic that I hope will go to someone who loves her as much as I do.
