This is what i like to call the Frankenstein truck a true wolf in sheep's clothing..
A pretty unique 1969 Ford F100 Ranger pickup with great painted patina, married to 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor chassis, engine and running gear.
So basically a classic looking truck with a modern drive train and a very good conversion..
Exterior
Paint finish is unique as the previous owner gave it a raw metal effect paint job. I think this looks great and give the sort of patina rat rod effect which really suits this truck. Is running the police intercepter wheels and a combination of F100 and interceptor badging. Brand new custom made Keruing bed in the rear to cover the step for the crown vic rear end. There are dents and scratches a plenty but all forms part of the character of the truck.
Drivetrain
It has a 4. 6 2v modular V8 with PI heads which are great to drive. The whole truck was rewired, new Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD Efi carb, MSD timing controller and MSD transmission controller means its now fully stand alone and tuneable and gives the 60's carb look with EFI reliability and performance. Previous owner has recently changed the oil and filters in the engine and gearbox and given it a coolant flush. New air filter, new fuel filter, replaced the rear gearbox seal and the seal on the selector arm. Also had a new power steering box fitted.
Interior
Red carpets and black leather seats in good condition. 2 seater. Running the original crown vic gauge cluster which works fine. Only part that isnt working is the gear display. Car has a modern Bluetooth radio with 4 speaker and as has a brand new Old Air Products Hurricane Complete air con/ heating system. This is a £1500 kit and works great and is custom for this set up with F100 interior components and compressor e. t. c that fits to the crown vic. It is not a combination system so its either heater on on air con on.
