Launched in 2002, the Volkswagen Phaeton was VW's first full size saloon, to compete with the likes of the BMW 7 series and Audi A8. With '4 Motion' all wheel drive system, 'adaptive air suspension' with 'continuous damping control' and huge interior space it certainly put some of its long established rivals to shame. Sharing many of its underpinnings with the Bentley Flying Spur this really is an upmarket car.
