‘Collection by Vermant’ is delighted to be able to offer you this truly unique Volvo 245DL. The car is equipped with its original B21 engine with injection. This engine develops 123 HP, which is put on the ground through the rear wheels. Tha car has had only one caring owner since new and was delivered new in Sweden in 1977. The car was regularily serviced and these stamps are present in the service book. The car is in exceptional condition. The length the owner went through to preserve the can hardly be described in words.
The car is finished in a verny nice yellow colour, the uniqueness of the paint of the car is its originality. The paint ont the car is in excellent condition and furthermore, it has never been repainted. It is still fully original. To keep the car in this excellent condition, the previous owner frequently threated the car to a layer of dynitrol (wax). This was sprayed into the fragile area’s, the doors, door cavities, underside and even the engine bay. This meant that, when we washed all the dynitrol of, all these area’s were completely unscaved and in new condition. A truly unique feat considering its age. If we have a look at the underside of the vehicle, it is no suprise that the same preservation methods were used and were effective. The underside is completely rust free with no signs of any previous repairs or even repainted area’s.
When moving onto the interior of the car, we find a beautiful brown cloth interior. The previous owner put a seat cover over the front seats to protect them and his attempt was quite succesful. The front seats and rear seats have no signs of wear whatsoever. Not only the seats, but the entire interior and even the boot is in almost new condition. For the boot, the original rubber boot mat is still present and comes with the car. It is used, but in very good condition. Despite being 44 years old, there are also some handy features present in the car. The original radio is still fully functional.
This car is a truly uniqe timecapsule. The condition and originality of the car are almost impossible to comprehend and make it stand out between cars worth ten times more.
