Here at Old Colonel Cars we are delighted to have this rare, Alpina B5 with the fabulous Supercharged V8. This June 2006 example has covered 97, 000 Miles, with an excellent, full service history. Alpina are well known for offering cars with the same performance as the current ‘M’ range from BMW, but in a different, perhaps more subtle way. So this example has very similar performance to the V10 BMW M5, in itself an excellent car, but the both feel very different to drive. With this car, the performance on hand is staggering, but if you just wanted to drive around town, you would hardly notice, making this car a much easier car to live with day to day. In town, the 6 speed auto gearbox is seamless, the suspension not too harsh, a lovely car to enjoy putting miles on. But find a quiet road and explore the performance on offer and this car is staggering. The reworked and strengthened 4. 4 V8 engine mated to a supercharger, produces just under 500 BHP, it will propel this car up to 195 MPH in a very short time. But its the torque that really is the star of this cars package, the way this car picks up speed from anywhere is amazing. This along with the speed of the reworked gearbox, with steering wheel manual shifts available if needed. The uprated brakes make light work of stopping this saloon and the suspension setup is just right, then there is the noise from the bespoke Alpina exhaust, subtle growl until pushed, then a lovely exhaust note that just gets better and better…

This Alpina is finished in Sapphire Black Metallic. The colour really suits this shape and looks fantastic on this car, a deep all over shine complimented with the high gloss trim. Alpina have made subtle changes all over to the look of this car and it really works, when you see this car in the flesh, it has some presence, it just looks superb.
Inside this B5 is finished in Amethyst leather with Alpina logos and matching door cards, along with Piano Black trim, Alpina Blue dials etc. This again is the perfect spec for one of these, the look and style of this interior has aged so well. A very well appointed car, lovely options like a Glass Sunroof, Electric Seats, Heated seats, Sat Nav, Phone, Parking sensors, Tracker etc.
The iconic Alpina alloys are all in excellent, unmarked condition, all fitted with the correct Michelin tyres.
This car benefits from a full service history. We have all the manuals, in the lovely Alpina folder, a fully stamped original service book along with a folder full of service receipts / old MOTs etc. All the history has been kept in a lovely folder, this example has clearly been owned by Alpina enthusiasts. The current owner has a lovely collections of cars from around this period, he always buys the best examples and always looks after them correctly.
The car was last serviced at 94, 000 by a well respected specialist, they also replaced the valve stem seals and chain tensioners (common issues on these), so this car is ready to enjoy. It will come with a YEARS MOT.
