This F113A040 flat-twelve was built for a 1984-1991 Ferrari Testarossa destined for North America or Japan.. It was ordered new by the ex owner father and comes equipped with a Bosch CIS injection system, the intake plenums, an alternator, and an A/ C compressor. The engine remains in a factory crate and is said to have been kept in climate-controlled storage since new. It is now being offered on a bill of sale with the original sales invoice.
The F113A040 flat-twelve was based on the engine found in the Berlinetta Boxer and maintained the same cubic capacity, though it was designed for use with catalytic converters and features four valves per cylinder and Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection. The factory-rated output was 370 horsepower at 5, 750 rpm.
