Just 11 Aero 8 GTN’s were built. Unlike many limited editions that are just a body kit and unusual colour schemes, the GTN is a genuine limited run car with an engine not used in any other Morgan.
The key differences from the standard Aero 8 are:
BMW 4. 6 lire V8 producing approx 330bhp
Tuned side-exit sports exhaust system
Carbon-fibre hard top
Carbon-fibre dashboard and trim inserts
Le Mans race car colour scheme
Black perforated leather upholstery
Centre lock race wheels
Black wood steering wheel
They were built separately to the other Aero’s by a dedicated team.
The Aero was the first new model to come out of the Malvern factory for years and in many ways was revolutionary. As described by EVO magazine “the GTN was inspired by the successful Morgan race car and is a rawer, faster take on the Aero 8”.
The car has an all aluminium bonded chassis, aluminium body and carbon roof and of course, the traditional Ash frame. A BMW 4. 6 ltr M42 engine coupled to a 6 speed gearbox and magnesium alloy centrelock Oz wheels. The carbon hardtop is removable and the car also comes with a traditional Aero 8 soft-top which is great for the summer.
The car comes with a comprehensive documented history file from new and even includes the Burberry leather glove box bag that came with series 1 Aero’s that seem to vanish from most.
MOT expires in August 2022.
Current classic insurance agreed value £100, 000
Car will revert to original registration number on sale.
