For sale, through JOHN BROWN 4X4 Ltd, Land Rover® 90 Ragtop in Drab Olive (1991).
Diesel 2495cc. Will be supplied with 12 months MOT. Late release from the military (2001). 106, 250 miles (171, 000km). Rear Radiators for additional heating during winter. Power Steering. Rear Mudflaps. Recent Canvas and Hood Sticks. Rear Bench Seats w/ middle cubby.
We are delighted to present for sale this late release ex-military 90, in original Drab Olive colour scheme with Black wheel arches. It is not often we get these low mileage ex-military 90s into stock, especially in the soft top format, so this is a real treat. This is a vehicle we have previously had back in 2018, which has been sold back to us by the gent we sold it to.
Externally, lots of the period features survive such as the bonnet mounted spare, military screw lenses, rear mudflaps with exhaust cut-out, larger defender door mirrors, NATO hitch, bonnet hinges and rear bumperettes. There is a brand new Sand Canvas & Hood Sticks on this vehicle, which gives a great look, and there is a recent set of Goodyear Cross-Climate tyres fitted too.
The interior houses two front deluxe seats with central cubby box, with deluxe trim to the footwells and transmission tunnel. Deluxe matting is fitted to the footwells. The original convoy switch still exists in the middle – a nice feature. . The speedo reads in KM’s, and so we know the mileage to be 250 miles – which is low for the year and release date. Rear benches are fitted so that seven people can be transported. The vehicle has, at some point in the past, been winterised – the radiators in the back still work when the engine is running, providing additional heating, which is nice for colder days out on the road and to keep those rear passengers from getting cold!
Out on the road, this old girl defies appearances – the low mileage and recent money spent (such as the new shockers and tyres) means this 90 feels really ‘tight’ and pleasant to drive (as pleasant as a Land Rover® can be!) – aided by the power steering which makes low speed manoeuvring an easy task. There is a history file with some recent MOT’s and receipts and this is nice to see.
In summary then, if you are looking for a Land Rover® which won’t break the bank and can carry the whole family, then this could be for you. With military looks, six seats, additional heating, 12 months MOT, power steering and recent money spent, this should prove good to own and run in the longer term.
