Here is my Austin A35 which has just been fully rebuilt , The body work was professionally restored to spruce green the original colour about 2 years before Covid lock down and then stored in a dry internal garage with all parts to rebuild. totally solid , painted inside boot , bonnet, door openings , floors inside and out stone chipped , New rubber seals on rear windows and side windows , door seals
What has been done on the mechanics
Replacement 1098cc Healey sprite engine fully rebuilt, this is the long stroke 82mm bore giving it more torque for the hills which it takes in its stride , rebuild includes new shells , pistons rings , duplex twin timing chain, oil pump, water pump , core plugs , petrol pump, spin on oil filter conversion and electronic ignition, new Borg and Beck clutch assembly, so a decent job done
Fitted with SU carb and correct throttle linkage, fuel tank all cleaned out and new copper fuel line,
Alternator conversion , and complete new wiring loom, most electrics are new , regulator , fuse box , flasher unit , starter solenoid, battery.
Brakes are also fully rebuilt master cylinder and slave cylinders , brake shoes, with copper pipes , new flexibles and POWER SERVO to get it upto date,
Front shock absorbers replaced , wish bone bushes , steering drag links the rest king pins stripped checked and greased
Exhaust and tyres all new , gearbox has all new seals and gaskets and is one of the best i have driven.
Most of the small chrome work is new , side lights plinths, bonnet flying A and stand , or good condition ,
New carpets including boot and door cards , seats very nice two tone green, door seal rubbers,
This car has been driven to a good few runs to iron out any rattles and niggles , its very nippy with the bigger engine and smooth, quite drive train , stops very well , retains all it charm but has all the upgrades to make it a modern traffic driver,
sent for MOT as its that solid and right , PASSED with no Advisories , so check on DVLA site
All paper work in my name , big history file , comes with work shop manuals , hand book , original buff log book
This is ready to drive and show, New A35 racer project has taken its place
