Description
HERE is my 1947 Morris Ten Series M, and what a pretty 40s classic she is too. Restored just a few years ago and thousands of pounds lavished upon her as the history file will testify. She remained with her first owner for a mammoth 52 years!!!
Rock solid, so pretty and with a lovely ohv engine. This post-war Morris along with the Vauxhall Ten were the first British mass production cars to move away from side valve to overhead valve and so she drives really well, featuring a 4-speed floor change. Her interior is delightful too, The rear seat is original and in amazing condition while the front seats have been re-trimmed to a high standard. This is a 40s classic which would grace any showground and which would also be ideal for 1940s weekends and gatherings which appear to be becoming ever more popular. Her brakes, along with so much else, have been rebuilt and she has new wheel cylinders as well as re-lined shoes. You will need to adjust them up as they were eased back off for storage. By the way, both bumpers are not old chrome painted silver; they are purposely engineered stainless steel versions and suit the car very well indeed. An opportunity not to be missed.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 75-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
