This '89 model Chevy S10 is the rare rear wheel drive model, much sought after in the USA by custom mini-truck enthusiasts as it easily lends itself to the lowering treatment which this has had done. Powered by GM's reliable 4. 3 V6 fuel injected Vortex engine with a 700r4 4-speed Auto, this car starts and runs as it should with plenty of power, the only engine modification being the Edelbrock chrome air filter.
As you can see in the pictures, it is extremely clean and was cherished by its previous owner in the US who was reluctant to sell, the only reason he sold, being that he had bought a bigger boat and the Blazer was too small tow it with.
During his ownership, the S10 had much money spent including having a subtle steel hood scoop fitted, and the whole car treated to a $3500 respray in the original Chevrolet white. The Blazer also features a custom chrome tube grille, tinted glass, Lexus style rear lights, a full width LED Brake/ Reverse light on the base of the tailgate. The cool billet alloy wheels are Budnik's, shod with Falken 245/ 50-16 tyres. Drums and Calipers are painted.
A rear roof spoiler is fitted, as is a perspex bug deflector on the front of the bonnet.
Inside, the car has a Pioneer Bluetooth to phone FM radio, the Bluetooth works decently, but the radio might benefit from an exterior aerial as reception isn't brilliant. Seat Covers are fitted in the front, and it has a Grant sports steering wheel. The Blazer also has a remote alarm that also operates the central locking. Electric Windows are standard on this model. It also comes with an interior sun screen for the front screen, and a full car cover.
The Blazer is fully UK Registered with all VAT and duties paid, and has an MOT until November 2022, it only needing a rear fog light and headlamp beam adjusters to pass, plus a front anti-roll bar link which has been fitted. Buyers should't be put off by the mileage, these engines are good for high mileage plus the truck has been well maintained throughout. Most of the mileage was easy highway miles commuting between California and Arizona by previous US owner.
This Blazer will represent a cool, fun way to drive a practically-sized American car in the UK, that will also fit in our stupidly small garages!
