The R100R’s are recognised as the last, and the very best of the legendary air cooled Boxers, and this particular example is quite exceptional.
A UK bike, supplied by Allan Jefferies, and first registered in April of 1994, it has had only three previous owners from new, with he last owner of four years, and the previous owner of seven years, both covering minimal mileage, and treating the bike in line with its collectible status. In fact, the bike has only covered 1200 miles in the last ten years, and only 17569 in total.
It’s amazing how many admirers assume that the turquoise green metallic paintwork, complete with huge “Boxer” graphics is custom, but the bike is a limited edition, and totally as it left the BMW showroom. These really are the peak of Airhead development, with twin Brembo’s, monoshock paralever rear ends, wire wheels but with tubeless tyres, crashbars, factory luggage, etc, etc.
