I am selling my 1970 Cortina 1600E. Price 13500 . This a low owner ex UK car. Only 3 prior UK owners before I purchased it in 2020. First owner had it laid up in a garage for 28 years which may explain the low mileage of 37000 miles, which could be correct. First or Second owner did a colour change from amber gold to Anchor Blue in 2004. I purchased the car in February 2020 and imported it to Ireland, and changed the UK reg which was STA 433H to an Irish reg.
The car presents beautifully, with a perfect interior, drives A1 with no knocks or rattles. All chrome was replated. Rostyles are as new with deep dish trims. All in all a beautiful 1600E at a sensible price.
There are some very small areas of corrosion on 2 doors which is reflected in the price but easily and cheaply repairable , but no rot on the car. Have a look at the MOT history online. It has an impeccable MOT history with no fails and minimal advisories since 2009.
The car is mechanically perfect with no oil or fluid leaks
Pictures uploaded from when I purchased the car in 2020. Since then It has been kept in an insulated and dehumidified garage.
In my ownership I have replaced the battery and alternator and installed a new NOS Sharp radio cassette, as well as installing a new seat base Aldrich cover on drivers seat due to a split seam. Everything works on the car.
