1956 Series 1 86" Soft top
Recently unearthed following some lack of use . A new distributor and spark plugs fitted saw it running and now runs smoothly .
Very original vehicle and with the latest owner since 1984 , once a daily driver and more recently a working vehicle on a 70 acre estate .
Its carries a wonderful patina and would be a shame to rebuild it , but that's personal choice of course
The seats are tatty , the roof is tatty and so is the paintwork .
It has the original numbers matching engine included albeit dismantled and sitting in the load area having been removed and dismantled for a rebuild .
During the previous refresh a 2286cc petrol was installed and the 2 litre remained in bits
Still carrying its original transferable number valued at £2250
The brakes don't work , but it can be driven around using the handbrake . I would suspect a master cylinder kit and some wheel cylinders would be needed .
The options are endless for this delightful little landy , you could simply fix the brakes and use it as is , or carry out a mechanical overhaul and leave the body as is . Or go the whole way and embark on a full restoration
Either choice would prove rewarding . Comes with V5c and previous MOTS
