The chrome is still in top-tier condition and offers the subtle bling intended by Mercedes-Benz designers at the time.

Launched in 1986, the 300 SL replaced the 280 SL. At the same time, a range of improvements made by Stuttgart were introduced to the whole R107 SL lineup. These included, a wider track, the addition of a front valance and the addition of 16” flat face alloy wheels. This was accompanied by changes to the interior central console, as well as an array of new optional extras.
