This 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII is a late, final production BJ8 Phase II model finished in Colorado Red with Ivory Duotone and Cream interior. This Healey has just been treated to £5, 500 worth of work and servicing with ourselves in 2022 and represents a good quality very usable Healey.
The 2022 major service included a brake overhaul including a new servo, refurbishment to the fuelling system, a tune-up and service, stainless exhaust, paintwork detailing, a new MOT and more. As a result, this is a nice, smooth driving Healey in need of nothing. The gearbox is quiet and shifts nicely into gear with the overdrive fully functioning. Performance is very strong – spot on for a late MkIII.
On the outside this Healey has smart Colorado Red paintwork with Ivory duotone which includes just a few small marks (see gallery, notably a chip to the bonnet that has been touched in) but is otherwise very well kept. The paintwork shows a nice deep gloss, chrome work condition is generally sound with some original pieces and some new. Overall, this is a presentable car the new owner could be very proud of.
Inside this Healey has a fully custom interior in light Cream with Biscuit carpet further complemented by a matching hood bag (nicely co-ordinated to the seats) and bespoke hood (also colour co-ordinated to the carpet). Hood fit is good with new seals fitted by us. The car has a modern speaker system which is very effective in comparison to the weak original option radios.
