1998 Rover Mini Cooper Sport with a 5 Speed gearbox and 85 BHP. This very exciting mini was bought new and sent to Mini Sport for some costly but effective upgrades. The rare 5 speed gearbox is a close ratio unit which enables you to always keep the engine in an effective rev range for maximum performance and torque. The 5th gear is similar to the standard 4th gear on a normal Mini Cooper. It also has a 4 pin diff for added strength and a KAD short shift for effective quick gear changes. The engine was upgraded to produce 85 bhp over the standard 62 bhp. This involved replacing the cylinder head, rocker shelf and exhaust system to gain the extra performance. It also had the brakes upgraded to 4 pot alloy callipers with vented brake discs. The suspension is adjustable in height and has negative camber for improved road handling and turn in on the corners. The mini has a lovely interior with full black leather seats with cream piping and a walnut dashboard. Due to it always being garaged the walnut dashboard is in lovely condition. It has covered just 31400 miles from new and has been well maintained and serviced. This exciting Mini Cooper is a great mini to drive and is in lovely condition throughout.
