We are extremely pleased to offer this motor car for sale - it has been in the same family since at least 1960. It is a truly lovely old car, very original and offering spacious seating for all occupants, so ideal for touring, family outings etc. Although the car starts easily, runs and drives, and everything seems to work well, it is need of recommissioning as it has not been regularly used for several years. We have taken it for a short run, and find the car to run very smoothly, with nice gearbox, quiet back axle and no untoward noises from the suspension or brakes. The interior is very good, having been re-upholstered in recent times, and there is a quality canvas hood and side screens which fit well. The underside of the vehicle is good – very clean and tidy. The dashboard is complete, in good condition and with everything working, as far as we can see (apart from the slow-running cable). The front tyres are good, the rear tyres not so good, because of age, and the spoked wheels are in fine condition. The bodywork is structurally good, with very well fitting doors and bonnet, there a appears to be no rust, however - and this is the only downside and hence the price – the car does require a complete re-paint to bring up to standard, unless you choose to live with its lovely existing oily rag patina. These cars performed very well in their day with a 1. 5L OHV engine, providing 54 BHP and 75mph top speed. The car comes with a huge quantity of spares, V5C, continuation book from 1960, some old receipts and original Driver’s Instruction Manual. A very handsome vehicle and very good value.
