Here we have a superb example of the legendary vw golf r32, presented in the best guise in our opinion, factory black metallic, 3 door, grey cloth upholstery and 3 doors giving it that cleaner look. This particular example has been in the hands of its current keeper since 2018, has a good service history, long mot with no advisories and both keys present along with its owners manuals and original book pack.
the service history reads as follows; Pdi, 423 miles, 23k, 31k, 39k, 49k, 62k, 67k and the last at 81k in november 2021. during this time the haldex system, gearbox oil and brake fluid has been changed. At its most recent service the following was replaced, spark plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, pollen filter, air filter, front brake discs, front brake pads, rear coil springs and wheel alignment.
due to the level of servicing and maintenance this golf r32 drives incredibly well, excellent road manners, torque in every gear, positive clutch and gearbox combination, great feel to the steering and a very entertaining exhaust note. Suffice to say she starts, idles, accelerates, handles and brakes all as you would hope, and possibly better.
the interior is in good order for her years, no rips or tears to the upholstery, carpets, headlining or trim. Very minor wear or in the drivers seat boulster but nothing more than commensurate for its age. Everything on board is working as it should including the air conditioning and remote central locking. The seats are supremely comfortable, i have completed a 3 hour + drive in the golf and can safely say how comfortable on a long run it is.
bodywork is very good for its years, the metallic black paintwork gleams in the sun, no nasty dents or unsightly scractches to mention. The odd imperfection here and there but nothing that detracts from its overall pleasing on the eye appearance. Again, its not new, in fact it is 14 years old. But we feel the r32 is in great shape and certainly looks an eyeful.
