The Wolseley 1500 was produced by Wolseley from 1957 until 1965. It utilised the Morris Minor floorpan, suspension and steering but was fitted with the larger 1, 489 cc (90. 9 cu in) B-Series engine and MG Magnette gearbox.
The Series III was introduced in October 1961, featuring revisions to the grille and rear lights.
In October 1962 the cars received the more robust crank, bearing and other details of the larger 1, 622 cc unit now being fitted in the Austin Cambridge and its "Farina" styled clones. Unlike the Farina models, however, the Wolseley 1500 retained the 1, 489cc engine size with which it had been launched back in 1957.
Craner Classics are delighted to offer this exceptional Wolseley 1500 finished in two tone pale blue & white paintwork complemented by a two-tone light brown & tan interior.
The car has undergone an extensive restoration (photographic evidence available) to an extremely high standard with excellent paintwork, interior and chrome work.
The walnut dashboard and door cappings really do give the interior that added feel of luxury and complement the two-tone seats and door cards beautifully. The headlining is excellent, and the carpets are beautifully finished in dark brown with the vinyl edgings.
The car comes complete with the workshop manual and a file full of paperwork/ sales invoices.
This has to be one of the best Wolseley 1500’s we have had the pleasure of selling so we would urge interested parties to contact us ASAP to avoid any disappointment.
