Description
Very rare bike registered in Spain on 9/ 26/ 1975 that had been sitting in a garage for 20 years. The previous owner had ridden it from Spain to Italy and then never used it again. Since I got it, I did a lot of restoring to it. Completely new wiring, lights horn, new dash lights, new electric starter and solenoid everything working perfectly now. New speedo and rpm cables, brake caliper completely restored as well as its original Scarab pump. Unfortunately the pump doesn't work at its best although it was cleaned and new piston seals added, I've heard they never worked properly. Basically the brake pads touch the disc and slightly block the front wheel. The solutions are either to replace the pump with a newer Brembo which I can supply, or to machine the inside of the Scarab pump to reduce friction. The bike starts immediately with starter or by kick and engine runs wonderfully. I have never seen a GT -E before and I think it is a unique collector's bike.
