Finished in Healey Blue Metallic with Black seating with White piping and new Aluminium Silver wire wheels wearing new Blockley tyres this 1954 Austin Healey 100 is an early original UK right hand drive home market BN1 model with two owners for the last 37 years. Built on 14th July the car was originally delivered to C. G. Norman & Company of London, first registered as PGN 288. This is an excellent history UK car in very original form with brilliant paperwork including original log book.
On the outside this Healey remains very original to this day with all cockpit trims matching the body number, its original stamped bonnet and what appears to be its original boot in very good solid condition. The car has benefitted from a full exterior respray four years ago to a good driver quality standard. This BN1 Healey was first restored by the owner in the late 1990s with works including new floors, inner sills, ‘A’ post, ‘B’ post and inner wings. At this time the chassis/ tub was fully painted in the original style cellulose Healey Blue. New Lucas spot lamps have been fitted and the car has a sporting look de-bumpered with rear rally over rider kit.
Mechanically this 100 remains impeccably original with its original rear axle, gearbox and engine all in good shape, the engine itself having last had a rebuild including a rebore 2, 000 miles ago and the gearbox having a total rebuild in March 22 by specialists with the engine given another major engine out service at this time. The car shifts through all the gears nicely deploying performance very satisfactory for an original specification early car.
Inside this Healey has just been fully retrimmed with new Navy Blue karvel carpet, New Navy leather seating, new rear cockpit hydura, a new Moto-Lita steering wheel plus a very fetching new navy mohair roof, new navy mohair tonneau, new boot kit,, new aluminium door shut panels plus full Dynamat noise and thermal insulation.
Sold fully serviced with MOT, original bumpers, original steering wheel, original fan, original log book, British Motor Heritage Certificate of Authenticity, hood, tonneau, spare wheel, jack, current V5, HPI clear and service history file.
