Engine number: the details below
Indicated: 98, 77 km
My 1967 Citroen DS21 Pallas Semi Automatic LHM is a 'one year only' car with the Frogeye front end styling of the early car allied to the new, more reliable green mineral (LHM) hydraulic system. It is sometimes referred to as the 'Holy Grail' due to its rarity and desirability.
It is a Paris built car that was exported to South Africa in 1974 where in 2012 it underwent a full restoration by a respected Citroen collector and restorer.
The engine received new pistons and sleeves as part of the mechanical overhaul and a new clutch was fitted for good measure.
In 2016 the car was imported into the UK and was purchased by a friend of mine (a knowledgeable Citroen collector) who used the car sparingly and stored it in a well ventilated underground car park in London.
I took the car from him as part of a deal against my Citroen SM in December 2019. I own a specialist classic car storage facility and workshop in central London where I have kept and maintained the car.
In the last six years the following work has been carried out, in addition to general servicing:
New Distributor
New Radiator
New Hydraulic Pump
New Brake Discs / pads
New Steering Rack
5 Powder Coated Wheels
5 New Blockley Tyres
Wax Injected and Undercoated
The car has just been serviced in our workshop, it starts on the button and the suspension rises quickly. The 2, 175cc engine is powerful with plenty of torque and it easily keeps up with modern traffic.
The semi automatic gearbox changes smoothly without lag. I use it fairly regularly and it has proved itself to be one of the most reliable cars I have owned. I would have no hesitation in driving it to the South of France tomorrow.
It is registered as an Historic Vehicle so Tax, MOT & ULEZ are exempt.
It is located in Highgate North London (N19 3SL), outside of the congestion charge zone. I have loads of pictures / walk around videos etc I can send by Whatsapp (they seem to big to email).
You can also see pictures and videos since I have owned it on my Instargam account: @nigelhcase
I would prefer a straight cash deal but might consider an interesting part exchange up to the value of £20k.
