I REALLY do like the Spitfire V in Java Green. Not so much the Stag, but certainly the smaller model! This little gem has been owned by a motor mechanic for the past 28 years and he has kept on top of everything to such an extent that this super Spitfire has the most amazing MoT history. She has passed every year and not picked up a single advisory in the past 15 years! Very nice panels and paint. Just a few imperfections here and there, the worst being on top of the nearside wing about six inches in from the headlight. Maybe something was dropped on it and they have had a go at touching up. None of this detracts from the car being a real eye catcher.
A really bonny sports car with matching hard top and soft top tucked in behind the seats. Great driver as you would probably expect being owned for so long by an engineer. Twin exhaust gives her a true Brit sports car sound. She really is a blast. Not to be missed.
Overdrive box and also converted to run on unleaded.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 46-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply.
