Roadholder front forks with progressive 2-way damping, Girling twin shocks with exposed chrome rings to the rear, twin downswept exhausts with upswept reversed cone megaphones, 12v electrics with brand new battery, deep cushion contour seat with Norton decal in gold, pillion grab rail, centre stand and side stand, simple switch clusters, rev counter and speedometer, pillion footpegs, twin rear view mirrors, Norton-Lock.
Exterior
Arguably the greatest of the great British twins. This Norton Commando Roadster MK2A is a genuine UK model finished in highly desirable black and gold paintwork with correct Norton lettering. Powder coated frame, all aluminium parts highly polished and beautiful chrome, many original parts some with very light ageing but stunning throughout. Lucas indicators and tail light, Wipac halogen headlight... Stunning.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Dunlop chrome rims with steel spokes laced to the original aluminium hubs all in superb order sitting on excellent premium tyres which have plenty of tread remaining and excellent rubber condition.
The Roadholder forks have been fully rebuilt with new oils and seals. The Norton-Lockheed front disc brake with 10. 7 inch solid disc opertates perfectly teamed up with the cable operated rear drum brake.
Engine & Transmission
The Commando 850 Engine - Recognisable by its through bolted cylinder block.
This Commando benefits from its original matching numbers 828cc engine that has been fully rebuilt including the gearbox using the finest quality parts by a renowned Classic Motorcycle Company. Boyer Bransden Ignition, charging regulator, downswept pipes with full flow reverse cone exhausts. The engine is detailed to show standard.
On the road she sounds amazing, pulls easily, the 4-speed gearbox and clutch operate with ease... Simply a joy to ride.
Summary
Supplied new and registered in the UK 17th August 1973. This matching numbers Norton 850 Commando is one not to be missed. Fully restored over a 3 year period but not over restored retaing much of its original parts and completed in early 2020.
The history file contains past some older passed MOT certificates plus receipts for maintenance and parts over the years, original Lucas ignition key and steering lock key presented on an aged Norton Owners Club leather/ enamel keyring.
A fresh 12 month MOT will be completed upon sale and of course this Norton is HPi clear with certificate included.
