Thanks for all the interest in my car, for the moment, I've decided to hang on to it as I honestly can't find anything to beat it. Including the Boxster I recently bought!
Lotus Excel SE 1988 (F). 65, 000 miles, MoT July 2023.
In A52 Mediterranean Blue with cream leather interior, beige carpet and headlining, it gets a lot of complements. Engine is the higher powered (180bhp). Toyota gearbox and running gear. Chassis and suspension are fully galvanised.
The leather front seats have been cleaned and recoloured, headlining and cant rails retrimmed, replaced floor mats as well as routine maintenance, oil, filter etc.
All electrics work, windows, central locking, all gauges, lights, wiper etc work. Wood panelling of the dash is good. Radio CD.
Paintwork is generally very good with a great shine however the roof has some microblisters. It drives like it should, pulls well in all gears, feels very well balanced, a lovely car to drive with a swift, positive gearchange, direct steering and effective brakes.
