1962 MGA 1600 Mk2 - Reserved
Imported during 1991 and totally restored for a customer by Abingdon Classic cars, this MGA resided in California from new.
During the restoration it was converted to right hand drive and remained with the owner until 2016.
The engine was rebuilt and bored to 1800cc, dymaically balanced and modified to fast road specification during 2008. A Kent 717 camshaft has been fitted along with a five-speed gearbox. Further upgrades included an alternator, single 12V battery, Kenlowe fan and halogen headlamps, making for a very useable and capable car. Since this work only around 10, 000 miles has been covered.
Of very good appearance in Chariot Red with black leather seats, this MGA has good weather equipment and drives very well indeed.
Included in the history file is the original driver’s handbook, extensive number of invoices and a heritage certificate showing the car to have left Abingdon on 20thFebruary 1962, making this a very late model.
