History:
When the Ferrari 308, designed by Pininfarina, was launched on the market in 1975 after the legendary Dino 246, no one knew what great success this popular sports car from Maranello would enjoy for 10 years. Worldwide, this sports car was very well received, perhaps also because Tom Selleck got on the gangsters' trail with his 308. This 308 is one of the fuel injected cars equipped with the Bosch K-Jetronic. This means that the petrol smells in the interior of the car have disappeared, but also around 13 hp compared to the carburettor model. In 1989, the 308 was first introduced in Switzerland and repainted from its original colour of black to red. In 2009, the Targa was acquired by the previous owner. Since 2002, the 308 has been serviced and maintained annually by a well-known Ferrari garage. All receipts are available.
Bodywork and paintwork:
The bodywork amazes with its great quality and immaculate paintwork. No dents, no scratches, no injuries. Everything looks as if this 308 has just been restored.
Interior:
The interior was restored in 2021/ 2022 at the Goodtimer Ateliers. The leather of the seats, the trim of the doors and the console were treated and conserved elaborately and professionally. Once seated, you feel as if you are in a new car.
Engine and mechanics:
The annual inspection at the Ferrari specialist Leirer in Stein, Appenzell, ensures that all systems function perfectly and that the entire technology is ready without jams and worthy of a veteran. Even wear parts such as brakes and clutch were renewed a few kilometres ago and allow for years of carefree driving. The timing belt was replaced in September 2020.
Chassis:
The chassis was thoroughly inspected, lubricated and preserved during the fresh MFK inspection. In addition to the new brakes, the Michelin TRX tyres were also replaced.
Driving experience:
The 308 is an honest sports car without airs and graces. Its high-revving V8 engine accelerates the car to 100km/ h in around 7 seconds, which is a good figure in any driving situation. When it comes to the chassis and the brakes, you can feel that a real sports car forge has built this car. Particularly noteworthy is the surprising comfort and fresh air experience in this Spider version. In such a sports car it usually gets quite warm on hot days. The perfectly functioning air conditioning provides pleasant cooling.
Recommendation:
For those who have always wanted a Ferrari and who attach great importance to an immaculate car, this 308 GTSi is an exceptionally well-maintained, fully documented and accident-free example in every respect. This 308 has also never seen the racetrack. The previous claim was to enjoy a Ferrari and not to chase it. An adapted gearshift ensures that even tall men (or women) can drive the 308 comfortably…
