Opel Rekord Coupe-6
FIA registered Group 1 Rally Car, FIA passport valid until end of 2027.
This is the rare Opel Rekord Coupe-6 with the 2. 6l straight six engine, even more unique is that this car has been a rally car from new.
There were two competitions here in Finland in 1965, after that it was sold to Germany. No history is available from its time spent in Germany, rumour is that it was with a collector. In the late 90’s it was imported back to Finland.
Since being imported back to Finland there have been 13 races between 1997 – 2013, including the 1000 Lakes Historic Rally in 1999. No races have been recorded since 2013.
The current owner purchased this Opel Rekord Coupe-6 from the next of kin that had inherited it from the deceased owner, unfortunately there are no records of what have or haven’t been done to the car. It is group 1 specification, so safe to assume that the mechanics are standard.
It has been tested and all seems to be working as it should be, it drives well.
