Description

Rare 64 ½ model and early chassis number with the under-bonnet generator! Soon to be featured in a Classic and Sportscar article, this is an absolute must for the aficionado, this extremely early V8 was very highly specified, so it has numerous rare as hens’ teeth period options such as rally pack, power steering, studio sonic sound, rear arm rests, wire wheels, power brakes, cruise- o- matatic, deluxe red steering wheel etc . With verifiable history ownership back to day one, this car looks to have never suffered neglect, and in the years before being exported from USA in 2005, it reputedly won around 50 high- level awards including Antique Automobile Club of America and Motor Club of America. Both engine and transmission were stripped and rebuilt in 2003 with many ancillaries bearing the proper Ford numbered parts which bears testimony to uncompromised, correct procedures. The car has continued to be cherished, and finally suffering slightly age-jaded paintwork, was stripped and repainted to an exceptional standard four years ago in original Rangoon Red. With 70, 000 miles declared as genuine, lovely panels, an exquisite and highly original Red and Black interior with its original customer- handover pack still present, this automobile stands out, even in a crowd of Mustangs.
