When in 1951 Jaguar decided to build their XK120 they could not have realised just how valuable these cars would become. Their aim at the time was to win the Le Man 24-hour race. They had little time to design and produce the cars using many of the parts from the standard production cars.
In early 1982 came the introduction of a C-Type replica and Proteus has since been rated a market leader in replica Jaguars.
Built in 1988/ 89 using a 1964 Jaguar Mk2 with a 3. 8ltr engine.
Registered as a Historic vehicle with nil rate UK road duty. V5 description 1964 Proteus CType Jaguar.
This beautifully constructed and finished in the Ecurie Ecosse flag blue metallic with period 16” wire wheels. Engine rebuilt in 1988 covering just over 21, 000 miles to-date.
It has had 2 former keepers, great history with all invoices dated back to start of the build.
Current ownership since 1994.
