Description
This is truly sensational, and having dealt with literally hundreds and hundreds of XK Jaguars, this must be up there in the top five we have had the pleasure of being involved with this. This XK was purchased by a long term owner in 2004 for a staggering £105, 000, this was a time when an XK150 DHC would retail in the region of £30, 000. The owner then went onto spend a further £50, 000 on upgrades and maintenance to make this the ultimate driving, long distance touring XK150. We first collected this car two years ago when the long term owner was downsizing his collection, we also collected his XK140 that had £300, 000 invested in it, that car now lives in Australia where we supplied it. This car, EAS 568 sold on arrival to one of our clients near Bournemouth who have enjoyed the car for two years, attending Goodwood in the car and enjoying reliable, top class motoring. Having enjoyed ownership, its recent owners have decided to sell the car and we were delighted to help.
This UK RHD home market car has covered less than 10, 000 miles since the major rebuild by then world renowned, award winning Jaguar restorers. The specification is impressive to include JD Sport carb conversion, JD Sport seats, Quartz headlights, limited slip differential, JD Sport suspension pack, upgraded brakes, alternator, aluminium radiator, JD Sport 5 speed gearbox, electric power steering, Burr walnut dash, harness and belts, balanced crankshaft and larger cylinder valves, adjustable shocks and much more. As result of this very impressive spec, the XK has covered miles and miles of reliable touring and has completed the London to Lisbon and Scottish Malts amongst many other touring trips.
Having had a body off rebuild by one of the top restorers of the 2000's, the car is truly incredible in every respect. The chassis, bodywork, paint, brightwork and trim all first class, the car is one of the very best we've driven, and without any doubt this car will not disappoint. Please note the car has just arrived, the photos are from when we last sold the car two years ago and will be re-photographed shortly - the Brantz trip equipment has now been removed. This is a special car and it offers great value due to its spec and restoration quality.
