The Vantage was part of the new generation of cars that Aston Martin introduced in that time period and was the start of a new era for Aston Martin. The Vantage was introduced as the “Baby Aston”, but turned out to be so much more. The Vantage was the first Aston Martin in a long period of time to be fitted with a V8 engine and was much praised for this engine and chassis lay out, gathering a strong following through the years. The chassis and engine made this car not only a very good drivers car, but made it also very suitable for long distance travel. The engine has enough torque to leave it in a single gear throughout the journey and the luggage space is very roomy, considering the compact design of the car. This Vantage was delivered new By Aston Martin Michiels (Antwerp) to its first owner and the registration took place in Luxemburg on the 7th of July 2006. Under this owner, the car was always maintained at Aston Martin Michiels. In 2015, the car was then acquired by the last owner and registered in Belgium. During his seven years of ownership, he put an additional 12. 000 km on the car. This brings the total mileage of the car to a mere 59. 000km. This Vantage was very wel specced by the first owner and was optioned with the very desirable and rare manual transmission. This makes the car a true drivers car and gives the driver a more engaging drive.
When looking at the exterior of this Vantage, we can find the beautiful colour of Mercury Silver. This dark metallic grey has a very nice metallic flake in it and accentuates the lines of the Vantage extremely well. This colour also gives the car a very classy and contemporary look. Looking at the side of this Vantage, we can find beautiful 19” grey wheels that work extremely well with the grey painted brake calipers. On the rear, we can see the clear headlights. These have been retrofitted by the last owner to give the car a more modern look. The original red rear lights are still present with the car.
Going over to the inside, we can find a very luxury interior. The complete interior of this Vantage was finished in the beige colour of Sandstorm. This works extremely well with the Mercury silver paint on the exterior. The interior is still in extremely good condition for its age, with only minimal signs of wear. The headlining of this Vantage was optioned by the first owner with Alcantara. This really creates a more spacious feel in the interior, due to its lightness. As already mentioned, this Vantage was equipped with a manual transmission and thus, three sport pedals can be found in the drivers side footwell. To aid in the usability of this car, Satellite navigation was chosen. This system can be folded down to make it flush with the dashboard when it is not in use. The Vantage was build with usability in mind. Besides the large luggage space, an additional luggage space is present behind the rear seats. This makes the car very usable on long trips and day, but also for day to day traffic.
