JUST IN AND UNDER PREP
1963 Austin Mini 850 Super-de-luxe finished in its original colour of Tartan Red.
This lovely and rare old mini has had just 3 keepers from 1963 through to 1968.
In hibernation from 1968 through to 2011 when its latest custodian purchased her as a completely original car bar a poor colour change to black and a new exhaust.. they then decided to carry out a full restoration back to its former glory.
All of the mechanical items have been rebuilt and the body has been fully restored. Fully photographed.
The body and engine numbers match the original buff log book, which is also with the car, as is the BMIHT certificate
The underside is all body coloured and the quality of the restoration is clear.
The interior is all original other than the carpets and over mats. The floors under the carpets are immaculate.
Put back on the road in March 2012 and covered minimal mileage since, a few car mini gatherings and car shows here and there…..
Engine re-built again in 2018 at a cost of nearly £4k.
One of the rarest MK1 minis being the Super-de-luxe. Showing 11, 000 miles on its original speedo, believed to be its correct mileage.
