The car was built by MB South Africa then sold new into Rhodesia reimported back into the UK in about 1994.
The car was bought from a dealer in Wiltshire and I have owned the car since January 2018. During this time I have replaced tyres and inner tubes, a full engine rebuild carried out between 2018 to 2020 with a detailed report on the works undertaken with photographs at a cost of over 17k. Engineering undertaken by JON ORR, OCKLEY CLASSICS. Fuel pump recalibrated along with a new diaphragm, radiator refurbished and brakes overhauled new pipe work were required. Stainless steel exhaust which came with the car.
Bright cream paint and a solid body, the chrome shines beautifully for a 61 year old car. Seats have been recovered in cloth, originally light blue MB tex. Roof lining has two small splits rear near side and front off side noticeable if you look for them. Overall interior is in good condition with a front bench seat and column gear change.
I have two sets of keys one original the other set recut.
There is a vast amount of history, invoices, service records in my ownership, brochures and manuals to go with the car. Mileage shows 36000 miles approx this can not be verified she has been around the clock at least once.
A really nice looking car which creates a lot of interest and turns heads where ever she goes, ideal show car or car collection and looks great for her age.
A rare diesel only four or five right hand drive 190Db’s in the UK.
