Get it bought and have some affordable classic car fun, one to use and improve, plenty of budget classics about not many with a full underside video and properly honest description, buy, drive, improve and enjoy.
1969 Morris 1000 running and driving spot on. Please ask to see our video, we show you the car driving, being driven, a walk round and the all-important underside, we show you everything, nothing hidden, no nasty surprises when you’ve travelled a distance to view, we show you up front.
It starts very easily and runs well, pulling strongly through all the gears, it stops well and the handbrake holds on steep hill (see the video) and it’s steady not all wobbly, no smoke when pushed hard and no signs of any worrying leaks or drips after a run, we have checked the fluids for correct level and contamination, all good. Very recent new radiator fitted with other new and refurbished parts under the bonnet, it runs lovely.
The doors, boot lid and bonnet open shut and lock, the windows wind down, the quarter light vents twist, the side lights, head lights, heater blower and horn all work. It has four almost new matching tyres fitted with a spare and tools in the boot.
The paintwork is shabby chic, in a shade of “Morris Millennium” pinkish and it says “Pink” on the logbook. Depending what you want from the car, it could happily be used as it is or give it a coat of paint, it would be an easy improvement.
The interior is ok, no rips or damage to any of the seat facings, matching side panels and door cards, good headlining, tidy dash with no modern additions. Seat belts added to the front two seats, tatty carpets covering solid footwells (see pics), matching cushions and furry dice included.
We have the current logbook, it was first registered on 1st August1969 and is showing 8 owners. We also have an all clear HPI printout, some service and parts invoices and the MOT history. It is road tax and MOT exempt and has 93889 miles on the clock.
The underside is well protected in underseal, the often poor rear spring hangers are very good and generally its fairly solid, there are a few spots that need attention, its not a basket case, a chap or chapess who can drive a welder would sort it on a Saturday morning.
