Description
This extremely well presented Riley 1. 5 was first registered on 12th October 1959 and the v5 is showing just 7 former keepers. The Riley was subject to a full body restoration around 2012 to a very high standard. The underside and wheels arches etc have all been painted in body colour and it is all in very sound condition. The Damask red bodywork has been painted to a good standard and remains well presented with just some very minor marks, but nothing that detracts from its appearance
The interior received new carpets, seats are original as are door panels etc. the floor under the carpets is perfect and again was painted to a high standard during the restoration. The engine bay is clean and rust free as can be seen in pictures
Mechanically there is nothing to do other than drive it. The engine starts willingly from hot or cold and maintains good oil pressure. It performs very well on the road with nice smooth gearbox and no transmission noise.
The mileage is displaying just 44144 and while we cannot warrant this, from the paperwork that is present it appears correct.
The Riley comes with a large box of history including photos of of the car, workshop manuals, old mots and lots of bills for previous works.
Radial tyres are fitted all round including unused spare. Front seat belts also fitted and period front foglights and badge bar. We will supply the Riley with a new mot on completion of sale and it has been regularly tested. There is a full mot history online since 2006 when it went computerised.
