We are pleased to offer this beautifully preserved Austin A55 Cambridge. First registered on 1st July 1960 and supplied by Austin agents Botwoods of Ipswich. This Austin has clearly been very well cared for during its life. It has never had any structural welding as most of them have. The rare factory black bodywork is extremely well presented and the contrasting red trim is in good order. The previous owner carried out some rechroming of bumpers etc, which adds to its overall appearance.
The mileage is displaying just 53865 and it comes with al it’s original service books, old mots and bills for previous works. The Austin runs and drives without any faults. Everything is as it left the factory with the exception of electronic ignition and radial tyres. Even the radio mobile radio is present and working. The original jack and cranking handle are present and the load area even has its original matting.
This really is an excellent example. We have sold many of these cars and we would go to say this is possibly the best unrestored one that is left in existence. We will put a new mot on it for the new owner and delivery can be arranged anywhere in the uk. It’s not the cheapest by far but you could not restore one to this condition for the money.
