1968 MGB Roadster MKII with overdrive. 1798 cc. Petrol.
This is an absolutely stunning 68' MGB Roadster, finished in a one-off tinted grey. This really is a one of a kind MGB, with it's specalist colour profile, as well as the OAP number plate.
Runs lovely once warmed up, and drives beautifully. Happy to accomodate viewings of the vehicle.
I have a lot of images / documentation, as well as an original mileage book from one of the previous owners. Happy to provide information on request.
The car is in a secure container at the moment, and I need to get it out in order to get more images, but viewings are welcome.
Reason for sale: I don't tend to get a lot of use out of it and have made the decision that someone else would give it a better life. Original chrome bumpers were all polished back by hand, as well as the windscreen frame stripped and sent to a metal polisher. The windscreen glass is also new but to spec via Moss. Everything bought was via MGOC Spares of Moss Europe.
Underwent a full strip down to bare metal, including the engine bay fully overhauled via a reputable garage in London. I kept as much original as possible and nothing has been replaced where it didn't need to be.
Gearbox was fully rebuilt by a Gearbox Specialist in London. Sills replaced as well as the left hand floor pan, LH wing was also replaced. I have all images of the restoration as well as purchase receipts for pretty much everything bought.
Things to note:
- Overdrive is present but has not been connected
- Heater unit is present but not connected
- few bits here and there that need addressing but only cosmetic
